Our welcoming event was absolutely packed! On several occasions we ran out of milk and even water whilst making traditional Japanese macha tea for our new members and several of our games got delayed but we managed to pull through and it was a very fun event both for us, the committee and hopefully for our new members aswell! The final prize for our bingo game was a free membership, since a 4 member team won the game....we gave out 4 free memberships! We look forward to seeing all of you at our Conversation class next week :D |

The committee got up early to set up our stall at Freshers Fair. We tried to not be too awkward whilst talking to freshers and talking to them about the society :D
Free homemade macha (green tea) cookies, pocky and other japanese sweets were had by anyone that came to our stall. (Cookies were made personally by our society President, I'm sure she'll tell you the recipe if you ask nicely xD ) ...I might've had a few cookies when nobody was looking :3 |
The committee has been working quite hard to make sure our Freshers Fair stall is as awesome as possible and so that the entire event goes as seamlessly as possible! If you're thinking about popping into the Roger Kirk Center and checking out our stall, then look forward to getting some of the tasty treats we have prepared :3
The Japanese Society did a 10 minute performance in Central Hall for Cultural week in front of over 300 spectators! The performance included 2 samurai, a ninja, several dancers and even a Pikachu! Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed doing it :D
We might have been goofing off a tiiiiny bit whilst rehearsing for the Cultural Week performance :3
